Nutrisystem was founded in 1972.  It is a portion-controlled, prepared meal delivery program.  In the early years, you used to have to visit a Nutrisystem center to get your meals.  Now, everything is done online.

Nutrisystem ready-cooked meals and fresh-frozen meals combine “good carbs” with heart healthy ingredients, healthy protein and high fiber. They are low in sodium, low in fat, and have no trans fats.

There are programs for men, women, diabetics and vegetarians.

Nutrisystem is now called Nutrisystem Success.  They have added new chef-inspired foods, new daily protein shakes, new personalized activity program, and new transition and maintenance plans.

With the Nutrisystem Success program, you will receive meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert for each day, along with daily prtein shakes.  You will add in fresh fruit, vegetables, salads and dairy items.

Nutrisystem has over 150 meals and desserts to choose from, plus new chef-inspired foods. 

There are ready to eat foods and gourmet fresh-frozen foods.

Your meals are conveniently ordered online and shipped right to your door.  There are packages for women, womens silver (women over age 65), men, mens silver (men over age 65), diabetics and vegetarians.  You can order a favorites package (which includes a pre-selected assortment of the most popular items), or you can completely customize your order.
